Apple M1 Pro/macOS arm64, Node 24.19.0, pnpm 12.4.2 and Rust 1.96.0. Release checks passed with 224 TS, three registry and three Rust tests. Four backend modes covered ten lengths, 8,193 deterministic f32 bit patterns, NaN, zeros, subnormals, infinities, ties and adjacent values. Direct native/Wasm misuse checked dtype, mask, operation family, flags, liveness, overlap and lengths without partial output. Tarball and temporary extension checks passed.
Chromium/WebKit passed 20 tests; Firefox's ten failed at startup with Could not find profile folder. x86_64-apple-darwin core cargo check passed but was not execution evidence. Four native targets remained pending.
Performance
The old bench:p2 command (now bench:mask) recorded 27 cases over 16/1,024/262,144 elements: JS five-pass reference, and ordinary/resident calls in four modes. Each used 20 warmups, seven samples, median/MAD, iterations and asset hashes. At 262,144 elements, microseconds per five-step chain were:
| Mode | Median | MAD |
|---|---|---|
| JS, reused output | 1530.392 | 15.996 |
| Native NEON, arrays | 5093.817 | 29.171 |
| Native NEON, resident | 926.721 | 7.383 |
| Wasm SIMD128, arrays | 5353.679 | 19.188 |
| Wasm SIMD128, resident | 1017.250 | 10.696 |
Mask validation, binding and copies made ordinary calls expensive. Resident calls still traversed separately; this was not fusion or a universal speed claim. First asset sizes were 354,384 native bytes, 34,850 scalar Wasm and 36,535 SIMD Wasm.
